School Psychologist (or Intern)

Assigned days: 205 (negotiable)

Reports to:  Director of Exceptional Children (Kelly Sellers)

Latta Schools prides itself on challenging the academic potential of students in our smaller community to ensure that we are preparing our students for the best possible future.

• There are three schools located within the district, which encompass grades pre-K through 12.
• The district serves approximately 175 students with disabilities.
• All three schools and the district office are within a three-mile radius of one another.

Latta Elementary is the only Montessori based school within the county and includes pre-K through 5th grade. Latta Middle School includes 6th through 8th graders. The curriculum incorporates STEM and Project Based Learning. Latta High School includes 9th through 12th graders and the only International Baccalaureate Program within the county.

Must possess valid SC Teaching Certification for work as a School Psychologist.

Applicants seeking full-time internship will also be considered at a reduced salary. (starting at $56,500)

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Guide the MTSS Lead and process, when necessary.
• Participate in reevaluation review meetings, eligibility committee meetings, and contribute to the development of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Complete psycho-educational evaluations including selecting appropriate instruments, administering tests, observations, and writing reports which state the evaluation findings and provide for educational program recommendations.
• Develop FBAs and BIPs, as determined necessary.
